My career as a nurse has shown me how the cornerstone of good healthcare is mutual understanding. Whether in determining a family’s goals for care, in navigating cultural differences, or providing education that empowers and clarifies - there is no progress without deliberate understanding.

Providing reliable, quality information to patients has been the through-line of my nursing career, from inpatient acute care to a cardiology clinic to school nursing to specialty pediatrics and, now, into nurse-writing.
